If you’re reading this article then you’re probably a gadget lover just like me. But I have a real problem. Whenever a new gadget is launched on the market I want to own it and I want to own it fast. Problem is, this “addiction” can be quite costly. Luckily, I have recently discovered a trick that allows me to get free gadgets and I will also share it with you.
I have found out that there are a lot of companies out there that need people to do various simple tasks for them: from software testing and product testing to market research. And they’re not paying people in cash but give them cool gadgets for free. The thing I like most is software testing and I will tell you exactly why. You are given a gadget with an application on it and asked to use it for about a week and then give your feedback on how it performed.
And for this little job you get to keep the gadget you’ve just tested. It’s pretty cool if you ask me especially because this kind of work (if you can call it that way) doesn’t interfere with you daily schedule. And if you think you need some kind of experience, references or higher education then you’re wrong. Software companies are looking for regular people to test their products in real life situations and not for software engineers.
There are a lot of testing programs and it would really be a shame not to check out a few of them especially now when many are giving away the new iPhone 4G. However, you should hurry as spots get filled pretty fast.
